The main object of the Corporation is to implement various schemes to uplift lifestyle of Charmakars (Dhor, Chambhar, Holar,Mochi etc.) with an intention to develop them educationally, economically and socially so as to give them respectable place in Society.

NSFDC, New Delhi has implemented an EDUCATION LOAN scheme from 2009. Under this scheme, Education Loan up to Rs.30 lakh finance is provided for post graduate students in India and Rs. 40 lakhs abroad. Rate of interest for study in India is 6% p.a. for male & 5.5%p.a. for female beneficiaries, while for study abroad Rate of interest is 7% p.a. for male & 6.5%p.a. for female beneficiaries. The loan repayment period for loans up to Rs. 10 Lakh is 10 years & beyond that it is 12 years.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be of Charmakar Community only
- Age Limit should be in between 18 to 50 years
- For NSFDC Scheme, income for Rural and Urban area should be below Rs.3,00,000/-
- Applicants must be permanent resident of Maharashtra State
- He must produce the Income and Caste Certificate of Authorised Govt. Officer
- Applicant must have a knowledge of the business for which he has applied for loan

This scheme also offers loyalty benefits in the forms of subsidies, priority while getting supply of leather and many other benefits.
Under the scheme beneficiaries will receive tax benefits as per the policies of the corporation.
